Joy ~ Grace ~ Integrity
Welcome 2026
So, here we are. 2026 already. Or - finally! perhaps. We are diving into the year of the Fire Horse and even if we will quite possibly still encounter challenges on many levels, the overall feeling is that is is a year of hope and positivity. And revelations. Lots of revelations.
In this post I will tell you about which areas that came up as important for me to focus on in 2026. And who knows? Maybe this will spark something in you as well.
When contemplating what could show up, I asked that it may easily be connected to areas in my Human Design that could be considered themes. Why? Because coming up with words or phrases for a new year is not just to collect words. I want them to bring me even more into alignment so I can live more true to HOW I am wired to BE. Which is an ongoing exercise really. For all of us I guess.
Here’s what this means for me. Not as goals. But as gentle reminders. Maybe they can be of help for you too as something to bring with you into and through this new year:
Joy:
This is actually my no. 1 value. Ever since my NLP teacher many years ago asked me when we talked about values: “Have you noticed that nowhere on your list of values do you find JOY?” I have held this as my most important value. It took me down quite a few rabbit holes and through some serious deconditioning and forgiveness “work” to get aquainted with joy in my life.
Joy should never be a goal, but rather a compass that tells me whether or not I am in alignment with what I consider my true self. It does not necessarily show up visibly to other people, but is rather an internal sense, thrill and knowing of being recognised and seen. Of being at home with myself. Which translates to being in alignment. If I were to describe Joy further, I would say for me personally, it is quite close to the feeling of bliss.
Joy does not acutally show up as a theme in my Human Design chart as such, but have been and still is a theme in my life ever since I got aquainted with it again.
Grace
This! The gate of Grace (22) in Human Design is where the Sun was at the time of my birth. Which equates to it counting for around 70% of my purpose. A surprise when I first saw it, and for me something I have had to dive deep into to really understand. What does this mean for me in this life?
This gate of Grace is sometimes also referred to as the Gate of Surrender or The Gate of Openness. Themes I find are permeating my life and as such should be part of my choice of words every year. Authentic expression and emotional depth is part of the term Grace, as well as compassion and connection to the Devine. All of which is what I will remind myself to practise through is year (and into the future of course). Along with surrendering to the knowing that I am always supported to pursue my passions and contributions to the world.
Integrity
This is a theme in my Human Design Chart. Here’s what being in integrity is NOT:
Saying yes when you mean no (a path to burnout)
Acting contrary to your values and principles, i.e. being dishonest (a path to the feeling of not being worthy)
Compromising. Meaning abandoning your values for external rewards of some kind.
So, during 2026 my focus will be on authentic leadership of self, truth and honesty, healthy boundaries, rest and self-care to ensure I have vitality and resilience to live true to my values and design.
So, I see integrity not only as a moral concept, but something that relates also to energetics, identity, resources (sustainability) and more.
Writing this, I see that I have taken on quite a task, but do feel that I am ready for it.
2026 is also a year for speaking our truths and I will not hold back on that. If so, I would immediately have a job to do relating to integrity, wouldn’t I?
Lastly, I would like to say that self-responsability is hugely important. Always have been, but more importantly in the years to come. In March 2020, I wrote a post called “No one is coming to save you!” and would hope that you will read it and contemplate what that means for each one of us individually. You can read it here. Disregard the link to my newsletter, I will link to the one I use now below.

I love human design! It’s so amazingly spot on.
