Success…What Does It Smell Like?
I love a fresh salad!
I love a fresh salad!
I love the taste. I love that my body loves it. I love the smell of each of the ingredients and the sum total of it all.
And I love the look of it. All the colours.
Take a good look at the image. You can smell it, right?
Do you know what this represents to me?
ABUNDANCE
Close your eyes and imagine going out into a garden picking ripe tomatoes. Ripened by the sun…… Abundance…
You have probably already guessed it:
To me success smells like a fresh salad. (No, I haven’t completely lost it)
It’s kind of important, isn’t it? Knowing what success is to you. If not, how will you ever recognise it when it’s there? Know if you’re not losing track of where you’re going? When you have reached it?
There is of course a lot more to defining what success is, but here’s a brilliant idea I picked up a short while ago through an email I received:
Figure out what success is to each of your senses:
What does it smell like?
What does it look like?
What does it feel like?
What does it sound like?
What does it taste like?
One element of success to me is abundance. And I now know that I can relate abundance to the smell, look, feel and taste of a fresh salad.
However strange that may sound or seem, that gives me sort of a guiding light on my path in life and business. Whenever I tap into the feel, smell, taste etc. of that I know I am on the right track.
A fresh salad. Healthy. Clean. Light. Colourful. Full of life. The smell making my mouth water, the crisp sound when chewing…..
So what does success smell like to you? Look like? Feel like?
